5 Ways To Take Better Care Of Yourself This Week!

You may or may not know, I have come into some recent health complications. Honestly, most of them are my fault as a young adult I thought I was invincible and nothing bad could happen to me, but that's not how it works. I want to share 5 simple ways to take care of yourself this week.

1) Make an appointment for a physical. Its recommended you get one every single year. Mine was last Friday, but It had been almost 2 years.... oops. It's so important to make sure you are healthy, in good shape and know if there is anything going on. Bonus most insurances cover the price of a physical.

2) Look at your Mental Health and have a check-in with yourself. Maybe take a self-care day, let go of something on your plate or do what I'm doing and speak to a therapist, I go to a therapist about twice a month, and has been very beneficial to my mental health. I know therapy isn't for everyone, but Implore you to do something for your mental health. Check out some of my self-care tips posts!

3) Spend some time meal prepping. Ever since I started meal prepping I feel so much better because I'm eating better! I am eating fresh food. Don't get me wrong I love Chick-Fil-A, but fast food can really mess up my stomach and leaves me feeling kinda blah. Which meal prepping not only have I saved money but I'm feeling sooooo much better. I am actually planning on sharing a few easy and delicious recipes so be on the lookout for those!

4) Dive deep into your faith. Especially with everything going on at the moment I feel like my relationship with my faith has been rocky. But I feel at my best when my cup is full of Jesus and The Holy Spirt. I've found it hard to drive back in with not going to church on Sunday and not being able to around Christians my age at Bible Study, I have felt distant. I am thankful for online services like https://live.life.church/ and https://live.christfellowship.church/ and I am very grateful for the bible app, so many great plans, they even have COVID related plans.

5) Listen to your body! You know what you need. Need rest? REST. Feeling unnourished? Nourish yourself. Listening to our body is SO important and we often ignore it. I am so guilty of it. Lately, I have tried to be more intentional about listening to my body

Take care,
